This industrial metal locker is totally original and does show marks from daily wear and tear and old oil stains, this only adds to the charm and character of the piece.

A wonderful industrial locker or cabinet with vented front. This industrial locker has 3 internal shelves and a drawer to the top. In its original paintwork finish it is an authentic shabby chic piece of furniture finished with a waxed pine to the top. This industrial locker would be wonderful as a storage cabinet in any shabby chic, vintage or industrial interior. This unit has been used in a machine workshop and does show signs of wear and tear and there is evidence of oil stains, this however does not detract from the piece; in fact it only adds to its authentic character. Just one of our wide range of traditional stacking chairs. These stackable chairs have a bent plywood seat and back set upon a tubular steel frame. A chair with  true vintage / industrial quality.

First appearing in the late 1930’s these chairs were widely used in Community centres, Village halls, Schools, Hospitals and Churches, valued for their stack-ability. These traditional stacking chairs continued to be used throughout the decades and proved themselves to be sturdily built. In recent months these chairs have made a fashionable return in many cafe’s, bistro’s, clubs and restaurants. Long lasting and very well built, the tubular steel frame came in a range of colours and the plywood seat and back rest was steamed and shaped in order for it to be pot-riveted to the frame.

These particular traditional stacking chairs have been finished with a dark blue frame which complements the wide plywood seat and back rest. A very comfortable chair with the usefulness of being able to stack, perfect for those short of space etc.. To add authenticity to any interior these traditional stacking chairs are perfect.

Traditional stacking chairs details:

These wooden wine crates are a fantastic feature for a country kitchen or any pub or restaurant with similar interior and vintage retro furnishings. These antique wooden wine crates were originally wooden grape crates in the 1950’s/60’s and have been traditionally made. Some of the crates also have their original bottles. These old grape crates were originally used to collect the grapes during the Autumn grape harvest or ‘vendange’. Plastic crates are often used today but some wine makers don’t believe the wine tastes as good!

When stacked in groups these make fantastic storage, or they can be turned upside down and used as funky side tables

They are ideal for many uses such as in the garden to put plants in, or general  storage facility in any vintage home. The wooden wine crates are great for adding character to any interior with their old feel of a 1950’s/60’s look. 1950s style stacking chairs details:

These Classic design retro metal stacking chairs have been a firm favourite for many years. Its simple lines have stood the test of time and are still as popular today. Originally used in Church halls, Hospitals and local village halls these retro metal stacking chairs were ideal as they took up very little room as they could be stacked on top of each other. Here at Peppermill Antiques we have had our own chairs made in the same style. Available with a choice of coloured frames, each chair has the classic plywood seat and back. First produced in the 1930’s we probably all have memories of sitting on these chairs at one point in our lives. These vintage tubular stacking chairs consist of  tubular steel  frames and strong and robust springs coated in plastic tubing on the seat and back making the chairs very comfortable.
